SMD fuses is a new type with relatively high technology content in small fuse. SMD fuse can be divided into patch current fuses and patch self-restoring fuses.

PPTC Fuse can be classified by size：0805 1210, 0603, 1206, 1812, 2018, 2920, etc,  if you has high requirement for PPTC Fuse, 

Generally made of thin film, ultra-low internal resistance, suitable for overcurrent protection, such as surge, etc. Computer peripheral products, mobile phones and other communication equipment, digital cameras, displays, batteries commonly used. The number of manufacturers that can use this technology is large.

SMD Fuse can be divided into disposable patch fuse and  PPTC fuse, The disposable fuse needs to be replaced after protection，PPTC can recover themselves and be reused after power failure。

There are four basic types of SMD Fuse：

  （1）Slow Blow / Timg-Lag;

  （2）Double alloy slow type;

  （3）Fast Acting;

  （4）Super Fast-Acting;

  Slow fuses are ideal for circuits with transient current surges or startup surges. These circuits include motors, transformers, incandescent lamps and suitable load devices.

  Fast Acting type respond quickly and are suitable for circuits without instantaneous current surges.

  Super Fast-Acting type usually have silver connections. These fuses are often used to protect semiconductor circuits because of their current-limiting ability.
